Sismology
On the 28th and 29th of November 2006, The National Seismological Center, Department of Mines and Geology, Nepal and the Département d’Analyse Surveillance de l’Environnement, France, jointly organised an international workshop on Seismology, Seismotectonics and Seismic Hazard at the Shanker Hotel for the 25 years of the establishment of the seismic network in Nepal.
On the 30th of October 2006, Mr Nanda Ram Sthapit, director general of Department of Mines and Geology, Kathmandu, signed a memorandum of understanding previously signed by Mr Vincent Courtillot, director of Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris.
